Editor Post : In the Star of this morn ing is a statement that in theFirst Ward Polls ofrthis city " nineteen colored men registered on election day" as it is in formed. 1 I beg to state in reply that not one single name was registered on election day in my precinct. Respectfully, J. N. Van Soelen, Register First Ward. . Dear Post-. Under the head of Fraudulent Voling in the Star ot this morning; we see it stated that "nine teen" colored men registered on election day, who could give no justifiable ex cuse for their failure to do so before. In justice to ourselves we deem it proper to say that such is not the fact, as will be attested by Mr. J. W. Conoley, a Democratic Challenger on the day of election. Six or seven votes (of wnomT twowefe"" Democrats,) were al lowed to vote from the old registration books, which we were advised was ac cording to law. Jf any fraud was prac ticed, and the law so palpably violated, why does the informant of the Star not institute the criminal prosecution pro vided for in the Election law, which he would do it there was any semblance of truth in the charges made. The fibers draw sustenance from the scalp as the grass draws ailment from the soil, and when the supply of nutriment is cut off in either case the product withers and dies. At the first symptoms of decay, therefore, the un fed or halt-fed roots of the hair should be refreshed and reinforced with Lyon's Kathiron, the only prparation which will nourish the filaments and keep them in a vigorous condition alter they have begun to suffer from a deficiency ot their natural stimulant.
